Spencer Dayman Meningitis Research
We’re proud to announce that we are now working with Spencer Dayman Meningitis Research as our new charity client, supporting its meningitis and sepsis awareness, research and fundraising work through PR and media relations.
For more than four decades, founder Dr Steve Dayman MBE has dedicated himself to meningitis research, fundraising and raising public awareness of meningitis and sepsis, following the loss of his son Spencer to bacterial meningitis and sepsis in 1982.
Dr Dayman says:
“I have been involved with the meningitis cause for 44 years, since losing my 14-month-old little boy Spencer in November 1982 to meningitis and sepsis. Public awareness is a constant battle and I know of numerous cases where lives have been saved due to early diagnosis and prompt treatment.
“Carry a wallet-sized symptom card. It could save a life. Having accessible information nearby helps keep awareness visible, practical and easy to share.”
